Retail Delivery Driver, Non-CDL

Weider's Ace Hardware is hiring a Retail Delivery Driver to get orders from our store to our customers' doors and to move product between our locations. You'll load the truck, run a daily route, and represent Weider's at every stop — this is a customer-facing job, not just a driving job. You'll also help out on the sales floor and in the warehouse between deliveries. No CDL required; you just need a clean driving record and the willingness to lift, load, and problem-solve on the road.

Responsibilities

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; at least 1 year of driving experience
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screen
• Comfortable driving a box truck or similar delivery vehicle in city and residential areas
• Able to lift and carry heavy or bulky items (up to 70+ lbs) regularly, often using proper lifting or team-lift technique
• Strong customer service skills — friendly, reliable, and able to represent the store well in someone's driveway
• Good time management and route-planning ability
• Basic comfort with a smartphone or tablet for GPS, order confirmation, and delivery apps
• Forklift experience a plus, not required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Requirements

• Load, secure, and deliver customer orders — including lumber, appliances, grills, power equipment, and general merchandise — safely and on schedule
• Plan and run an efficient daily delivery route using GPS and store systems
• Pull and double-check orders before leaving the store, and flag any delivery notes or special instructions
• Move inventory and transfer stock between Weider's store locations as needed
• Confirm and close out each delivery in the store's point-of-sale or delivery system
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues to the store manager
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies; drivers are responsible for any violations incurred on the job
• Represent Weider's Ace Hardware professionally with every customer — answer basic product questions, note additional needs, and pass along sales opportunities to the store team
• Assist with loading/unloading, stocking, and other store or warehouse tasks when not on a delivery run
• Handle payments, receipts, or paperwork tied to deliveries and returns as needed
• Regularly involves standing, bending, lifting, and climbing in and out of a delivery vehicle throughout the shift
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions
