About Weider's Grilling Department

Grilling season in Rochester starts on the first Saturday warm enough to stand outside and ends whenever you stop being willing to shovel a path to the deck. We stock for both ends of it. All three stores carry grills, charcoal, pellets, rubs, tools, and replacement parts, and every store refills and exchanges propane, so a tank swap and a bag of lump happen in one stop.

We're a Big Green Egg Platinum Dealer at Honeoye Falls and Fairport/Perinton, and we carry Weber, Traeger, Blackstone, and Char-Broil across all three stores. If the model you want isn't on the floor, we'll special order it, and we'll assemble it and put it on your patio.

Big Green Egg in Honeoye Falls & Fairport/Perinton

Platinum Dealer status means we keep the full size range in stock rather than one or two and a catalog. The ceramic holds temperature through wind and cold, which is what makes an Egg worth the money in this climate. A February brisket behaves about the same as a July one. Size it to how you cook, not to the biggest one on the floor. A Large handles most families and a full rack of ribs, and a Medium is plenty for two people who grill a few nights a week.

Traeger Pellet Grills and Smokers

Pellet grills run on a set-it-and-check-it rhythm, which is why they win over people who want smoked ribs without babysitting a fire for six hours. Store your pellets somewhere dry. A bag left on a garage floor over a humid week swells and jams the auger, and that's the single most common Traeger problem we hear about.

Weber Gas and Charcoal Grills

Weber is the safe answer for most backyards, and the choice usually comes down to how many people you cook for. A Spirit fits a small patio and a family of four. A Genesis gives you the extra burner and side table you'll want if you host. The Q and the Traveler go in a car for camping or tailgating, and the Original Kettle still does a better job on chicken thighs than most gas grills twice its price.

Blackstone Griddles and Flat Top Grills

A griddle is the right call if you cook breakfast, smash burgers, or anything that falls through grates. Season the cooktop when you get it home and wipe a thin coat of oil on after every cook, and it will build a black finish that food releases from cleanly. Skip that and you'll be scraping rust off in April.

Smokers, Pizza Ovens, and Outdoor Fryers

Char-Broil patio grills and electric grills work where an apartment balcony or a condo association rules out an open flame. For the rest, ask an associate what we can bring in. Ace's grill assortment includes vertical and offset smokers, Ooni and Gozney pizza ovens, Recteq pellet grills, Masterbuilt smokers, and propane turkey fryers, and a special order usually lands within a week.

Charcoal, Pellets, Wood, and Propane

Fuel is the reason most people stop in. Lump charcoal lights faster and burns hotter, which suits a kamado or a steak. Briquettes burn longer and steadier, which suits a kettle full of chicken. Pellets are graded by the wood, not the brand, so hickory does the heavy work and fruit woods finish lighter.

Rubs, Sauces, and Seasonings

We stock the shelf that saves a trip to the grocery store on the way home: BBQ sauces, dry rubs for beef, pork, poultry, and fish, brines, injectable marinades, and finishing salts. Traeger and Big Green Egg both make their own lines, and we carry a rotating selection of regional sauces alongside them.

Grill Tools, Thermometers, and Covers

Two things extend a grill's life more than anything else you can buy: a cover that actually fits, and a thermometer you trust more than the dial in the lid. Lid thermometers read the air at the top of the dome, which can sit fifty degrees off from the grate where your food is.

Grill Replacement Parts

A grill that won't hold heat, lights unevenly, or flares up usually needs burner tubes, flavorizer bars, or grates rather than replacing. We stock the common Weber parts and can order most others. Bring the model number off the sticker inside the cart door or on the back panel, or a photo of it, and we'll match the part.

Grill Assembly and Delivery in the Rochester Area

Buy a grill from us and we'll build it. Grill assembly is $50. Delivery within Brighton, Honeoye Falls, and Fairport is free. Scheduled or next-day delivery outside those towns is $15, same-day is $20, and long-distance runs are $30. If you're not sure which tier your address falls in, ask an associate before you buy.

Through the summer, Ace Rewards members typically get assembly and delivery on grills for free as part of the promotions Ace runs. Grills Near You in the Rochester Area

Buying a grill sight unseen is how people end up with a firebox too small for the way they actually cook. Come stand next to a few. Our Honeoye Falls store on West Main Street serves Mendon, Rush, Lima, and the southern Monroe County towns. Our Fairport/Perinton store on Moseley Road is convenient to Fairport, Penfield, Bushnell's Basin, Webster, and Victor. Brighton is a few minutes from Pittsford, Henrietta, and Twelve Corners.

Big Green Egg is at Honeoye Falls and Fairport/Perinton. All three stores carry Weber, Traeger, Blackstone, fuel, tools, and parts, and all three refill propane.
