About Weider's Outdoor Living Department

Patio season in Rochester is short, and nobody wants to spend two weekends of it driving around looking for a replacement umbrella or a cushion that fits. Our outdoor living department covers the furniture, coolers, fire, and lighting that make a deck somewhere you'd rather be, and we keep the small stuff on the shelf: citronella, patio cleaner, furniture covers, and a propane tank ready to swap. All three stores carry it, so whether you're in Brighton, Honeoye Falls, or Fairport/Perinton, the patio aisle is a few minutes away.

Outdoor Patio Furniture, Chairs, and Umbrellas

Start with the seating, because everything else on a patio arranges itself around it. A bistro set works on a small balcony where a six-seat dining set would not, and the difference is easier to judge standing next to both. Bring a measurement and an associate can help you sort out what fits.

We carry:

Coolers and Drinkware

Coolers for the backyard, the boat, and the tailgate, in sizes from a lunch-and-two-drinks soft cooler up to a chest that will hold a weekend of ice.

Fire Pits and Outdoor Heating

A fire pit is what keeps a Rochester patio usable in May and again in October. Solo Stove and Breeo pits burn wood with almost no smoke, which is the difference between sitting around the fire and moving your chair every ten minutes. Propane pits light in one click and put out no smoke at all, which matters on a small deck or anywhere with a neighbor close by. We stock both, along with patio heaters for the cold end of the season.

Outdoor Decor, Lighting, and Flags

String lights over a deck do more for the space than almost anything else you can buy for the money. We carry string lights in LED and incandescent, solar path lights, lanterns, and Tiki torches, plus the torch fuel to go with them. For anything that needs an outlet, a timer, or a run of outdoor-rated cord, our Electrical department has it.

We carry:

• American flags, seasonal and garden flags, flag poles, and mounting brackets
• Wind chimes, garden stakes, thermometers, and rain gauges

Insect Repellent and Backyard Pest Control

The stretch from late June through August is when a good patio gets unusable if you're not ready for it. We stock personal repellent, area repellent, and the traps and dunks that cut the population down before it gets going.

We carry:

• Personal insect repellent sprays, wipes, and lotions
• Thermacell and area mosquito repellent
• Citronella candles, torch fuel, and mosquito coils
• Mosquito dunks and larvicide for standing water
• Yellow jacket, wasp, and fly traps
• Hornet and wasp spray

Grills, Smokers, and Propane

Grilling is a department of its own here, and a big one. We're a Big Green Egg Platinum Dealer at Honeoye Falls and Fairport/Perinton, and we carry Weber, Traeger, Blackstone, and Char-Broil along with wood pellets, lump charcoal, rubs, sauces, thermometers, and covers. Pool and Spa Supplies

All three stores carry pool chemicals through the season: chlorine tablets and granular shock, algaecide, clarifier, pH increaser and decreaser, alkalinity and stabilizer, and test strips and kits, along with skimmers, brushes, and hoses. Our Pool Supplies page has the full list.
