Weiders repairs push mowers, self-propelled mowers, riding mowers, and zero-turns at all three of our Rochester-area stores. Our technicians are on the bench year round, and we work on every brand we can get parts for, so you don't need to have bought the mower from us to bring it in.

Most of what comes through the door in spring is a mower that sat all winter with fuel in it: a fouled plug, a clogged carburetor, stale gas, or a dead battery. All of it is fixable.

If it's a rider or a zero-turn, we'll come get it. Ask about pickup and delivery.

Riding Mower and Zero-Turn Repair

Riding mowers and zero-turns add belts, batteries, charging systems and drive components to everything a push mower needs. We handle starter and ignition work, belts, blades and decks, and engine repair on Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Kohler, and Kawasaki engines. Pickup and delivery is available, so a repair doesn't turn into a moving job.

Battery and Gas Mowers by Brand

• EGO. We're an EGO Authorized Dealer and Service Center and repair EGO mowers under warranty. We test the pack, the charger and the mower separately so you're not replacing a battery to fix a smaller problem.
• Briggs & Stratton. We're certified for warranty work on Briggs & Stratton engines.
• Ridgid, Ryobi and Hart. Warranty work on the TTI brands.
• Toro. We repair Toro mowers as a paid service. Our Toro warranty repair certification is in progress.
• Everything else. Non-warranty repair is open to Honda, Husqvarna, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, Snapper, and any other brand we can get parts for.

Lawn Mower Tune-Up

A lawn mower tune-up is $124.99 plus the diagnostic charge. It includes blade sharpening, an oil change, a new spark plug, a new or cleaned air filter, and fuel system cleaning. We also balance the blade after sharpening and check the controls and the shutoff. Parts beyond that are quoted before we start.

March is the right month. A mower dropped off before the grass starts is usually back before you need it. The same mower dropped off Memorial Day weekend gets in line behind everyone else who waited for the grass.

Cost and Turnaround

Diagnosis is $35, paid when you check the mower in. If the repair goes through as a warranty claim, the manufacturer covers the fee and you get the $35 back, so bring your registration or proof of purchase. If it isn't a warranty repair, the $35 isn't refunded and is billed in addition to the repair.

Standard turnaround is about two weeks for gas equipment and about three weeks for battery equipment, once diagnosis is done and you've approved the plan. Warranty parts availability can push that out.

1. Drop off. Bring the mower to any Weiders location, or schedule a pickup for a rider or zero-turn.
2. Diagnosis. A technician finds the problem and quotes the repair, or orders parts for warranty work.
3. Repair. We start once you approve.
4. Pickup. We call you when it's ready.
